  1.1. Structure and function

  SOGEVAC SV 200 and SV300 are single-stage oil-sealed rotary vane pumps. The pump itself has anti-return oil valve, air ballast valve (optional parts), outlet filter, return oil circuit and oil cooling circuit. The pump is driven by a direct flange motor.

  Note: Gas ballast valves are standard parts of pumps sold in USA.

  The eccentric rotor (7/88) installed in the pump cylinder (7/83) has three blades, which divide the pump chamber into several compartments. The volume of each compartment changes periodically with the rotation of the rotor.

  When the rotor rotates, the volume of the intake part of the suction chamber expands and the gas is inhaled through the suction port. The gas passes through the dirt shield, and the open anti-return valve (7/54) enters the pump chamber. When the rotor rotates further, the blade separates the pump chamber from the suction port. The volume of the pump chamber is reduced and the gas is compressed. Gas is discharged from the pump chamber through an exhaust valve (6/20) when it is slightly higher than atmospheric pressure. Oil is injected into the pump chamber to seal, lubricate and cool the pump. The oil entrained by the compressed gas is preliminarily captured in the tank (6/27) due to its reversal. Then it is filtered thoroughly in the outlet filter element (6/29). As a result, the oil content in the exhaust gas decreases to below the visible level (the capture rate is more than 99%).

  The oil captured in the outlet filter is returned to the intake chamber through the return pipe (6/11). In order to prevent atmospheric gas from flowing into the inlet from the tank, the return tubing is controlled by a floating ball valve.

  The oil cycle is maintained by the pressure difference between the tank (pressure higher or equal to atmospheric pressure) and the intake port (pressure lower than atmospheric pressure) of the pump. Part of the oil is taken from the oil tank (6/27) and flows through the oil filter (6/25) to the bearing support point and pump chamber of the rotor. The other part of the oil injected into the pump will not pass through the oil filter. Therefore, if the oil filter is completely blocked by chance, the lubrication can be ensured by the second circuit with sufficient oil, thus ensuring the good mechanical operation of the pump.

  However, in this case, the pump can not reach the prescribed limit pressure. Generally speaking, this indicates that the oil is dirty or the oil filter is blocked.

  The fan rotating on the axis of the motor generates the air flow necessary for cooling to pass lubrication in the cooling coil.

  Pumps with air ballast devices (6/14) can be ordered according to demand (USA type pump air ballast valves are standard configuration).

  Open the air ballast valve and let a certain amount of controllable air called "gas town" enter the pump chamber. When the condensable gas or steam is exhausted, the gas column can prevent the condensable gas from condensing in the pump (the maximum allowable steam pressure is shown in the technical parameters). There are different kinds of gas towns: standard gas towns are better than atmospheric towns (10%) gas towns with solenoid valves when they are supplied with pumps without air ballast valves, they can also be installed with air ballast valves. Use anti-return valve (7/54) to prevent accidental breakage and oil return of vacuum chamber.

  1.1.1 Scope of Application

  According to the design, SOGEVAC pump can be used to extract stable gas, and its working range is from atmospheric pressure to the crude vacuum range of the pump limit vacuum.

  SOGEVAC pumps should not pump corrosive, corrosive, explosive or flammable gases.
