Installation of selected ballast valves
SOGEVAC SV200-300 with air ballast valve or SOGEVAC SV200-300 without air ballast valve can be selected according to customers'requirements. Gas ballast valves also have various models.
Remove the fastening screw at the top of the cylinder block cover (7/51a-52a), loosen the pump foot at the bottom of the cover (7/94), and remove the cover.
Put the oil out.
Remove screw (6/13) and gasket.
Install the selected air ballast valve (6/14) with bolts and gaskets.
Re-fitting and oil filling.
Note:
LEYBOLD USA sells pumps, standard air ballast valves are standard equipment.
Repair

Cut off the power supply before removing the pump. It must be absolutely guaranteed that the pump can not start accidentally.

If the pump has pumped harmful substances, it is necessary to understand the nature of the hazards and take appropriate safety measures.
Comply with all safety regulations.
Maintenance of LEYBOLD Maintenance Station
If you send the pump to LEYBOLD maintenance station, please indicate whether the pump has any substances harmful to human health, or whether it is contaminated. If the pump has been polluted, the nature of the hazard must be explained. For this purpose, you must use the form we have prepared, which will be provided to you as required.
At the end of the instruction sheet, there is a copy of the form "Instructions for Contamination of Vacuum Equipment and Components".
Please attach this form to the pump or pack it with the pump. This description is needed to meet the requirements of regulations and protect our staff.
If there is no "pollution instructions", the LEYBOLD maintenance station will return the received pump to the shipper's address.

The packing of the pump must be guaranteed that the pump will not be damaged during transportation, so that harmful substances will not spill over from the packing box.
If you turn on the pump in your own factory, also pay attention to whether there is pollution.
Important Notes
When handling used oil, please observe the relevant environmental regulations.
According to the design idea, the SOGEVAC pump needs very little maintenance under normal working conditions. The required maintenance work is described in the next section.
All work must be performed by trained personnel. Improper maintenance or overhaul will affect the life and performance of the pump, and affect the claim for warranty.
Daily maintenance system
The maintenance frequency described in the daily maintenance system is the approximate value of the normal operation of the pump. Maintenance times should be increased under adverse environmental conditions and/or corrosive media conditions.
